Kitty rescue, rehabilitation & re-homing

Through poor education, the cat population is exploding with no end in sight. Without someone caring for them, they are suffering, mistreated & dumped. A female cat can have three litters a year and up to 4 kittens with each litter. Each kitten can start to have more kittens from 6 months so without desexing the population will continue to grow. We are focused on stopping this cycle with rescue, desexing & re-homing.

Looking to adopt one of our cats or kittens? We have some gorgeous boys & girls just waiting for someone to give them a home.  Here are some of the cuties ready for their forever family x

OUR MISSION

Giving a voice to those who have none, we are a dedicated team relying solely on fundraising to rescue and re-home cats & kittens throughout the Canterbury & West Coast regions. Our aim is to not only save cats in need but ensure cats are desexed to stop the population growth that is out of control.

We have worked alongside our community from Christchirch to Twizel and Ashburton to Hokitika to give kitties in need food, love, warmth, socialisation and medical attention including desexing and vaccination. We work with each kitty until they are ready to find their forever home.

Since our inception in 2020 we have rescued and re-homed over 1600 felines but the problem continues to grow.

We are putting increasing time & effort into educating people on cat ownership and hope that with this we will start to see the need for rescues like ourselves decline. But for now the problem continues to grow and we will be there to answer the call.

PussN Boots is a registered Charity: CC60029 so all donations can receive a 33% tax rebate over $5.

We operate as a not for profit charity ensuring 100% of donations go to the rescue & care of our cats.

Donations are gratefully received and can be donated directly:

If we do nothing the problem will increase

With an ever growing population of domestic, stray and ferral cats we have to address the problem now and the only way to slow this growth is to capture and desex stray & ferral cats as well as educating cat owners on responsible cat ownership and the importance of desexing.

MAKE A DIFFERENCE WITH A DONATION

Fundraising is our primary source of funding and 100% of what is collected goes to rescuing, de-sexing and rehabilitating Cats & Kittens ready for re-homing.

Every year the amount needed is increasing as the population increases and we face increased costs of veterinary care, food, litter etc. Any donation is truly appreciated. You can also donate directly to our vet accounts which you will find details for on our donate section linked below or in 'Our Mission'.

Even $1 or $5 a week can make a huge difference so we really appreciate anything you can contribute to help these kitties in need.

If you feel more comfortable we also have a give a little page:
